Scouts Canada's update on coronavirus (COVID-19)

Revised 28 June 2020

In line with advice provided by provincial and federal government agencies, Scouts Canada has directed that all in-person Scouting programs and activities (including regular meetings, outdoor adventures, tours and camps) be cancelled until at least 31 August 2020.

Our leaders are considering how we may be able to provide an effective and safe Scouting program for our various sections in Autumn 2020. As new information becomes available, we will continue to update our parents and youth members.

All current Scouts Canada memberships are extended at no cost until 31 December 2020.

Have questions? Please contact your section leader.

Stay connected - including information about a special version of the Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI)

Week 3

Week 5

A better, more sustainable world - Explore the underwater world online, then try some projects at home which can help keep waterways healthy (like planting a rain garden)

Week 6

A trip around the world - Go on a virtual trek to visit far-away cities without leaving your house, then prepare a meal from another culture!

Week 7

Blast off! - Build your own rocket to find out something about how real astronauts travel to space

Week 8

Look for helpers - Care for your family and your pets, and be a helper in your home, just like doctors, nurses and other important workers are helping care for their communities.

Week 9

Learn or teach a new skill - How can you develop or share a skill while staying close to home?

Week 10

Get ready for camping - How can you get ready for your next camping adventure while at home?

Week 11

2020 may not have started the way any of us planned, but if we are prepared, and look after each other and our community, brighter days will return soon.

Scouting Uniforms

You can buy youth and adult Scouting uniforms from the Scout Shop at Camp Samac (Oshawa) or Oakville, or online.

While previous sizing inconsistencies appear to have been rectified, we suggest that before buying you should check shirt sizes with other youth in your section who have current shirts.
